Police Blotter: Larceny, Warrant Arrest

The following Police Blotter items were submitted to Midland Park Press by the Midland Park Police Department:
On Feb. 20, Officer Michael Canonico took a report from a Midland Park resident who stated a larceny occurred at her home. The victim reported an iPod Touch and a Mac Book was stolen, a total value of $1,700. The incident was referred to the Detective Bureau.
On Feb. 26, Midland Park police arrested a 32-year-old Newark resident following a traffic stop. According to police, Officer Canonico observed a vehicle traveling on Godwin Avenue with no front plate, which turned onto Lake Avenue and crashed into a detour sign. Patrol conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and the investigation revealed the driver was wanted by the Newark Municipal Court. The suspect was transported to headquarters, where he was processed and released into the custody of Newark Police Officers. He was issued summonses for unregistered vehicle, fictitious plates, no liability insurance and driving while suspended. Lt. Bernard Vandenberg and Sgt. Gregory Kasbarian assisted in the investigation.
