MPPEF Offers $1,000 Scholarship
The Midland Park Public Education Foundation (MPPEF) is pleased to announce it is sponsoring one $1,000 scholarship to be awarded to a graduating Midland Park High School senior. The applicant must be accepted to and planning to attend an institution of higher learning or technical school in the fall of 2013. Due to guidelines set forth by the New Jersey Education Foundation Partnership, children or relatives of current MPPEF Board of Trustees are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
The MPPEF believes all students can meet their potential through education. “The scholarship committee is seeking a deserving individual who has shown more than academic achievement,” said Laurie Kamp, president of the MPPEF.
“The scholarship will be awarded to an individual who has demonstrated strong character traits through volunteerism and who illustrates leadership qualities and dedication to others through exceptional community service,” she added.
To be considered for the scholarship, complete the application in its entirety and submit it along with one letter of reference, an essay, and the cover sheet of the application signed by the applicant and parent/guardian.
The completed application package with all supporting documentation is due at Midland Park High School no later than 3 p.m. on April 19, 2013. Late applications will not be reviewed. Finalists will be notified in mid-May to schedule an interview.
