100 Garage Sales Set For This Saturday!

04/14/2013 09:23PM ● By Anonymous

This is the weekend for bargain hunting in Midland Park. More than 100 homes have signed up to participate in the town's first Community Wide Yard sale, organized by the Rec Dept., this Saturday, April 20, from 9am to 4pm, rain or shine.

The borough has compiled a list of all homes participating in the sale, along with the type of items for sale at each location. Hard copies of the listings and map will be available at Boro Hall Friday until 4pm, as well as at the DePhillips Center (50 Dairy Street) between 2:30pm and 9:00pm.

You will find everything from A to Z: antiques, baby items, clothes, dining room table, electronics, furniture, garden items, holiday items, instruments, jewelry, kitchen goods, lawn mowers, mason jars, new-in-packaging items, outdoor children's toys, pocketbooks (designer too!), retro home decor, sporting goods, tools, video games, and more.

Multi-family garage sales are planned on Hillside and Hill streets, with the Bergen County Moms Exchange hosting a 40 family sale in the parking lot at Midland Park Christian Reformed Church, 183 Godwin Ave (next to Friendly’s).

If you have unsold clothes left over from the sale that you would like to donate to charity, Councilman Scott Pruiksma will be taking collections of used, clean clothing from 3 to 5 pm on Saturday. All items will be donated to Jericho Road, a Paterson-based charity that helps homeless men get back on their feet.
