Senior Exercise Activities Planned at Center

The Northwest Bergen Regional Senior Center, at 46-50 Center St. in Midland Park, is open to all Bergen County area senior citizens ages 60 and up. A variety of activities, services and a hot lunch program are offered from 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
Upcoming activities include:
Zumba Gold: Dance-Fitness Classes are held at 2pm on Friday and at 9:30am on Tuesdays. The latin rhythm dances are intended to provide a low-intensity workout to suit both beginning and experienced dancers. All participants must wear sneakers and loose-fitting comfortable clothing. Call to sign up and reserve a space in the class.
Cardio-Sculpt: Get moving and get first at 12:30pm on Fridays with a workout that is 30 minutes of low-impact cardiot to music and 30-minutes of strength training.
Beginner Tap Dancing Group: Jean Cunningham leads a one-hour class for those who have little or no tap dancing experience at 9am Fridays. The group meets free of charge. The center recommends trying the class before purchasing tap shoes.
Syncopated Seniors: This performing senior tap group is for seniors who love to tap dance. Rehearsals are held on 8:30am at Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
