“Behind the Seams” Fundraiser For Eva's Village Ties Fashion To Compassion

Godwin Avenue clothing store Sal Lauretta for Men will be hosting its annual fashion show to benefit Eva's Village on May 20 from 6 to 10pm at Bottagra restaurant at 80 Wagaraw Road in Hawthorne. The 4th annual “Behind the Seams” Fashion Show will feature Sal Lauretta for Men and Hartly Fashions with summer styles from the Robert Graham Collection, the store's top selling sportswear brand.
The non-profit Eva's Village's was founded in 1982 as a soup kitchen and has grown to include 12 individual programs within a three-block radius in downtown Paterson. In addition to serving 350 hot lunches every day of the year for the homeless and working poor, Eva's Village provides shelter, substance abuse treatment, primary medical and dental care and a variety of transitional and permanent housing options. Additional supportive services available through include, parenting classes, play therapy, personal finance workshops, and job training and placement.
Sal Lauretta for Men, one of the area’s most exclusive shops for menswear and custom tailoring, first partnered with Eva's Village in 2010. The store, opened by Raffaele Lauretta and his son Sal in 1974, and run today by Sal's son Ralph, carries formal wear, custom-made accessories and an extensive collection of designer casual wear for men and boys.
