Police Blotter: Underage Drinking
The following police blotter items were supplied to the Midland Park Press from the Midland Park Police Department:
As the result of conducting a Community Policing detail in the parking lot of a local business at 11 p.m. on May 17 , Officer Michael Canonico took into custody a 17-year-old Midland Park male resident for underage drinking. According to police, patrol observed the juvenile having difficulty walking, with glassy and watery eyes, and slurred speech. The incident was referred to the Juvenile Bureau, who released the suspect to the custody of his father. Sgt. Gregory Kasbarian assisted.
On May 18 at 10:20 p.m. the residents of a house on Godwin Avenue reported there was an unknown male party unconscious in their rear yard. An investigation revealed the male, a 17-year-old resident of Midland Park, was highly intoxicated. His father was notified and he was transported to the hospital. The incident was referred to the Juvenile Bureau. Lt. Bernard Vandenberg and Officer Thomas Bedoe investigated.
On May 28, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department reported they had in custody a male resident of Warwick, NY on Midland Park’s warrant. The warrant, in the amount of $250, was issued on October 13, 2012 by Officer Thomas Bedoe. Detective Sgt. John Gibbons and Officer Kevin Van Dyk transported the defendant to headquarters where he posted the $250 cash bail, and was advised to appear in the Midland Park Municipal Court at the session held that day.
