Red Carpet Ready: Prom 2013

Teals, tangerines and sparkles dominated the Red Carpet on Thursday as Midland Park High School seniors and their dates stepped out to the prom in style — with the parent paparazzi at the ready.

The annual Senior Prom Red Carpet was broadcast live on MPTV, the school's television channel, which can be viewed on Cablevision Channel 77 and Verizon FIOS Channel 47. Broadcasting teacher Brian Ersalesi filmed the Red Carpet as students interviewed fellow prom goers, asking questions like, "Who are you wearing?" "What are you looking forward to most?" "How did you ask your date to prom?" and "What are you doing after prom?" A few brave students busted out their dance moves for the cameras.

Following the Red Carpet, the students loaded onto the prom buses, a program sponsored by the Municipal Alliance. The alliance is an all-volunteer organization aimed at reducing alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse in Midland Park, which is funded through the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.

Student's loaded onto three buses that whisked them off to Rockleigh Country Club for a night to remember. Click on the slideshow tab to see a sampling on the prom fashions.
