Here's how it works: To sign in the Children’s Department and receive your reading log, stamp, and bag. Registration begins on Monday, June 17 and continues through the end of the program. Read as many books as you would like throughout the summer. Keep a record of how many books you have read by stamping your official reading log. Show Miss Catherine your progress when you come into the library throughout the summer. For every five chapter books you read receive a prize. For every 10 pictures books you read receive a prize.
To complete the program, let Miss Catherine know you have had fun reading this summer by showing her your stamped reading log of at least five chapter books for readers or 10 picture books for pre-readers.
The program ends on Friday, Aug. 23 with an end of summer magic show and a raffle to win special prizes. Bring your reading log to Miss Catherine and you will get a free sundae coupon and a special sign to display on your lawn during the summer. Registration for the magic show begins on Thursday, Aug. 1.
