Police Blotter: Indecent Exposure, DWI-Hit & Run
The following items were supplied to the Midland Park Press by the Midland Park Police Department:
On June 2, a 38-year-old Midland Park resident was arrested on a report of indecent exposure. According to police, the victim, a 42-year-old resident of Passaic, reported to Officers Christopher Birch and Mark Berninger that the defendant exposed himself to her as she was delivering the newspapers at 5:50 a.m. The male was processed and released on his own recognizance with a pending court date.
On June 8, Officer Kenneth Junta took a report from a Spruce Street resident regarding the theft of a wheelbarrow. He stated the wheelbarrow, valued at approximately $100, was removed from his backyard sometime within the previous five days.
On June 10, Sgt. Gregory Kasbarian took a report from a West View Terrace resident who stated his son’s Amazon Kindle Fire was taken from his backpack at the Midland Park High School. The Kindle is valued at $200.
On June 11, Officer Birch arrested a 20-year-old Midland Park resident on charges driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving. According to police, the arrest came at the conclusion of an investigation of a hit and run accident on Central Avenue and Godwin. The vehicle was located on Godwin and Franklin Avenue and the female driver admitted to being involved in the accident and was transported to headquarters where she was processed. She was released into the custody of a friend and faces an appearance in the Midland Park Municipal Court. Officers Junta, Michael Canonico and Thomas Bedoe assisted in the investigation.
