Old Wortendyke Pottery Studio Offers Summer Classes

Sign up for summer pottery classes at the Old Wortendyke Pottery Studio. Students will receive individual attention from professional potters and learn techniques for working with clay, including coil, slab, and pinch methods and the pottery wheel. These classes will encourage creativity and teach students how to make beautiful and useful ceramics.
Adult Pottery Classes at the Beginner/Intermediate level are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., or Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. These weekly classes meet for 8 sessions from July 8 to Aug. 31 and cost $250.
An Adult Pottery Class at the Intermediate/Advanced level is available Monday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This weekly class meets for 8 sessions from July 8 to Aug. 31 and costs $300.
Children’s Pottery Classes are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. These weekly classes meet for 8 sessions from July 8 to Aug. 31 and cost $235.
Private lessons from owner and instructor Judy Losapio are available at the cost of $100 per hour. Clay and glazes will be provided though adults will need to either bring pottery tools or buy them for $17.
