Food, Farm Tours, Family Fun & More at Abma's Saturday!
● By Anonymous
Learn where your food comes from and take a tour Bergen County’s only working produce, poultry and pork farm at the annual Abma’s Taste of The Farm Day on Saturday, July 20, from 10am to 3pm.
We will be cooking and serving homegrown foods raised right in Wyckoff. The Abma family prides itself in raising all natural, hormone-free, antibiotic-free poultry and pork, and growing close to 100 varieties of NON-GMO produce, as it has for the past 80 years.
The family-friendly event includes workshops and tours, including hayrides and walking tours of the fields and chicken coops, and a special presentation by “The Butterfly Guy” Rick Mikula at 1pm.
See how food goes from the farm to the table. Learn how bees make honey at the beehives at Abma's Farm. See how farmers collect nest eggs from the chickens. Feed the animals in the petting zoo and take a pony ride.
Take a relaxing stroll around our greenhouses and see our premium annuals are grown. Ask questions about farming and gardening. Learn how to dye fabric using natural colors from plants. You can also make and take home your own fairy garden (material fees apply).
The annual Abma's Taste of the Farm Day will be held July 20 from 10am to 3pm. The rain date for the event is Saturday, July 27.
