Pete's Corner To Become Legends Pub & Spirits
● By Anonymous
One of the owners of the former Legends Steakhouse bought Pete's Corner at Sheriff's auction and plan to use the building as a liquor store and bar that serves pub food, tentatively called Legends Pub & Spirit, Robert Corcoran, Sr. told the Villadom Times.
In December, Legends closed its 118 Godwin Ave. restaurant after failing to negotiate a new lease with the landlord. The owners, who had been in business for 23 years, retained the liquor license with the intention of opening a scaled down operation in another location in Midland Park.
Pete's Corner, a popular greasy spoon breakfast joint at the corner of Godwin and Central avenues, closed down suddenly this March, after the owner failed to reach an agreement with the financing company and was put up for auction by the Bergen County Sheriff's Office.
Corcoran plans to gut and remodel the building, and hopes to have the new Legends open by the holidays.
