Public Notice: Zoning Board to Hear Camp Bow Wow Application

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BOROUGH OF MIDLAND PARK ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT Notice is hereby given by Bergen Canines, LLC D/B/A Camp Bow Wow at 95 Greenwood Avenue, Block 33, Lot 1, of its application to the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Borough of Midland Park for an interpretation from the Board of Adjustment, finding that no expansion of a non-conforming use has occurred or, in the alternative, granting a use variance for an expansion of a non-conforming use pursuant to NJ.S.A. 40;55D-70d(2).
The Applicant currently operates a daycare and overnight facility for dogs commonly known as Camp Bow Wow. Applicant is requesting that the Board interpret the Borough's existing ordinance and apply the municipal land use law in making a determination that no expansion of a non-conforming use exists as a result of the enlarged dog pen area at Applicant's facility. In the alternative, the Applicant requests that a variance from Section 34-11.1 of the Borough of Midland Park Zoning Ordinance be granted, permitting the Applicant to continue the use of the existing enlarged outdoor dog pen area, pursuant to N.J.S A. 40:55D-70d(2).
This matter will be heard at a public hearing of the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Borough of Midland Park on August 14, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 280 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park, NJ. The application and all accompanying documents, maps, etc., are available in the Planning Board office at the Midland Park Municipal Building and may be reviewed by the public on Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
