Valley Health Care to Host Rutgers SAFETY Course Sept. 5

The Valley Health Care System offers the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic for Volunteer Coaches several times a year. The course is mandatory for all Little League coaches in the state, in accordance with the New Jersey Little League Law. The course teaches legal aspects of coaching, psychological aspects of coaching, general coaching concepts, training and conditioning athletes and medical/first aid aspects of coaching.

Upcoming clinics at Valley Hospital will be held Sept. 5, and Dec. 5 in the Valley Hospital Auditorium on the ground level of the hospital's main campus. Pre-registration is required. The fee for the clinic is $40, due the night of the clinic on site. Only checks payable to The Valley Hospital will be accepted.

All participants must pre-register via telephone at 1-800-VALLEY 1 (1-800-825-5391). Personal Data Forms will be completed by each participant on site just prior to the clinic. On-site registration is not guaranteed. Registration and material are given starting at 6:30 p.m. sharp. The clinic presentation will begin promptly at 7 p.m. and end approximately at 10 p.m. Late arrivals may not be able to complete the clinic.
