● By Anonymous
The Midland Park Memorial Library Summer Dig Into Reading program is winding down with fun and special events planned for its final week.
Clay Creations: On Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 3pm, children ages 8 and up are invited to create clay key chains of either a green dinosaur or pink elephant. Midland Park staff member Emily Chen will show kids how to use polymer clay to make these animals. The program will last about 30 minutes and all creations must be left at the library overnight and can be picked up the next day.
Night at the Library: On Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 6:30pm, children ages 2 and up can bring their favorite stuffed animal to hear some stories. They can pick a spot for their stuffed animal to sleep for the night. The next day, they can return to pick up their stuffed animal along with a picture of their furry friend asleep at the library.
Magic Show: On Friday, Aug. 23 at 3pm there will be a magic show to celebrate the end of Dig Into Reading, provided by Brian Richards. It will last 45 minutes and will be held in the meeting room.
