On Saturday, Oct. 26, the Midland Park Police Department and many other police departments throughout New Jersey will participate in Operation Take Back, a program that collects and disposes of expired, old or unused medications, either prescribed or over the counter.
This program is to clear medicine cabinets and homes of unwanted medications and to dispose of them in a responsible and ecologically safe manner. These items at times are abused by people within our homes and should be disposed of when no longer needed.
All pill, powder and liquid medications are welcome, however, no needles, syringes or other sharp materials are allowed.
The program sponsored by the U.S. States Department of Justice (D.E.A.), the Bergen County Prosecutor’s office and local Law Enforcement Agencies.
The Midland Park Police HQs will be open from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, Oct. 26 for participation in this program.
