Tornado Touched Down in Bergen County

Monday's storm that brought a quick downpour and heavy winds to Midland Park produced a tornado on the west side of Paramus, the National Weather Service confirmed last night. No injuries were reported.

The F1 tornado produced winds of up to 100 miles an hour and ripped up trees as it cut a 1.25 mile path between Paramus Golf Club, George Washington Cemetery and Ridgewood Country Club at approximately 3:16 to 3:18 pm on Oct. 7.
