Midland Park Junior Senior High

Dear Families:

Junior and high schools are some of the most important times in a child’s academic, extra-curricular, and social lives. It’s a time when the pursuit of an educational career truly takes off. Students are challenged in new and advanced ways. They learn new life skills as expectations are elevated. In short, it’s a critical developmental time when students begin to chart their own course for success. At MPHS, we are here each step of the way to help your children on this significant journey.

We know that the transition from elementary to these upper schools can be filled with questions and concerns. We are especially aware that we need to do a better job at communicating the essence of what makes our schools competitive and uniquely positioned to serve the needs of your children. That is why I invite all parents – especially those with children in the elementary schools – to attend an informative Parent Meeting on Wednesday, November 13, at 7 pm, at the MPHS Media Center.

At this meeting, sponsored by the elementary and high school parent organizations, you will learn the range of academic and enrichment offerings available to our students from 7th to 12th grade. The Director of Curriculum and I will address concerns such as technology, course offerings, facility improvements, etc. Parent organizations will introduce you to the many performing arts, sports, and other extra-curricular programs that are part of a child’s overall educational experience here at MPHS. Administration will conduct tours of the school as well.

As the Principal of Midland Park’s Middle and High School, I can assure you that the administration and faculty are dedicated to giving your children a strong foundation on which to grow and succeed. I encourage you to learn how by attending the parent meeting on Wednesday, November 13, at 7 pm.

Thank you for the privilege to serve you and your children. I hope to see you at the MPHS Media Center on November 13.
