Lady Panthers Score Big At Blue & Gold Tourney

The Lady Panthers Ranked 9th in the Bergen County Polls traveled to Pequannock on Friday to take on St. Mary's (Rutherford) in the opening round of the Blue Gold Holiday Tournament. The  Lady Panthers started out quick start leading 25-3 after the first quarter and never looked back, winning 62 to 31. The Lady Panthers were led by Amanda Parker's 15 points, Nicole Cartaino's 14 points, Rebecca Rabiero's 15 steals and 11 points, and Julie Carey and Veronica Pantale each pitched in 8 points for the winners.

After defeating St. Mary's on Friday afternoon The Lady Panthers met Wayne Hills in the Championship game of the Blue Gold Holiday Tournament on Saturday night. The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 44-17 half time lead and never looked back, winning 59 to 29.  Rebecca Rabiero, who was voted the MVP of the Tournament, scored 25 points while Veronica Pantale scored 11 points and Amanda Parker added 10 points. Both Rabiero and Parker were named to the all-tournament team.
