Zoning Hearing: Sign Variance Request For Kings

BOROUGH OF MIDLAND PARK ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT NOTICE OF HEARING PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on January 8, 2014 at 7:30 p.m., Kings Super Markets, Inc. (the "Applicant") will appear before the Borough of Midland Park Zoning Board of Adjustment at the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 280 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park, New Jersey, for a public hearing concerning its application for variance approval to install an illuminated identification sign (the "Proposed Sign") on the wall of its retail food market located on property designated as Block 3, Lot 11 on the Midland Park Tax Map and known as 85 Godwin Avenue in Midland Park, New Jersey (the "Property"). The Property is located in the B-3 Zoning District and is currently developed with a King's food market. The Proposed Sign will be the second identification sign mounted on the building wall facing the parking lot at the Property, as one identification sign currently exists on that wall. To install the Proposed Sign, the Applicant is seeking a variance from Section 34-17.8.b.1 of the Midland Park Zoning Ordinance, which permits one identification sign on any wall facing a public parking area. The Applicant will also seek such other variances, exceptions and/or design waivers that may be required upon an analysis of the plans and the testimony at the public hearing. The application and plans for which approval is being sought are available for public inspection in the Midland Park Municipal Building, 280 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park, New Jersey, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays.
