Last week the 10-0 Lady Panthers saw their Tuesday game against Hawthorne Christian postponed due to snow.

On Saturday, the Lady Panthers hosted Saddle Brook in the first round of the Bergen County Girls Tournament. After leading 17-6 at the end of the first quarter the Panthers stifling defense took it up a notch which helped outscore the Falcons 28-10 in the 2nd quarter to move out to 45-16 halftime lead. The Lady Panthers never looked back and advanced to the 2nd round with a 70-33 victory.

Rebecca Rabeiro led all scorers with 21 points while Amanda Parker 15 points and Nicole Cartaino contributed as well. Thalia Ghalam pitched in 11 points and played incredible defense against All County Candidate Taylor Harmon who was held to 12 points. Veronica Pantale added 9 points for the winners.

The Lady Panthers are back in action on Tuesday as they host Saddle River Day in a battle of league unbeaten. The home game is 4PM. On Thursday the Lady Panthers travel to Waldwick to face the Warriors at 4PM.

The Panthers will play Westwood in the 2nd round of Bergen County Girls Tournament next Saturday. The time and the location is still to be determined.
