Update: 8am Sunday

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory this morning for the Northwest Bergen area from 6pm tonight through noon Monday. Predicted snow totals have been reduced to 2 to 4 inches, with winds up to 20 mph.

The Weather Channel is predicting snow flurries and light snow showers in the afternoon and evening, with 1 to 2 inches of accumulation over night.

Original: 6pm  Friday

The National Weather Service issued a special weather advisory on Friday for a storm system that may be headed our way Sunday night into Monday morning. There is the potential for 8 inches or more of snow, however, the storm may change its trajectory.

The Weather Channel has named the storm Titan and predicts an initial round of light snow will moves into the Northeast on Sunday morning, with heavier snow over night into Monday before tapering off in the afternoon. Road conditions will deteriorate quickly overnight Sunday and will have a major impact on all travel.

Midland Park Press will keep you updated throughout the weekend.
