Two people were taken to Valley Hospital this morning following a three-alarm fire on Erie Avenue, northjersey.com is reporting.
Resident Andrew Vitez and Firefighter John Miller have both been released from the hospital as of 8am. Miller told Midland Park Press that he was taken to Valley Hospital as a precaution due to feeling dizzy and sweating, but was released at 7:30am and is fine now.
The early morning fire began in the first floor dining room and rendered the home uninhabitable. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
One resident and one firefighter were sent to Valley Hospital for treatment of injuries in the fire, which was reported around 3:30 a.m. and took an hour to control.
