Police Blotter: Marijuana Arrest & Fraudulent Bank Charges

The following items were submitted by the Midland Park Police Department: 

On April 13, Sgt. Noah Van Vliet arrested a 20-year-old male resident of Waldwick after he was found to be in possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of narcotics within 1,000 feet of a school zone. The arrest was the result of Sgt. Van Vliet observing the defendant and his friends behaving in a suspicious manner. The male was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance. He is to appear in the Midland Park Municipal Court. Officer Steven Vander Pyl assisted

On April 14, a Midland Park resident reported fraudulent charges were made on both his bank account and his wife’s bank account. The transactions, amounting to more than $1,770, took place between March 27 and April 1 at different locations in Brooklyn. The case is under investigation. Officer Jason Tillson took the report.

On April 16, Officer Kenneth Junta took a report from a Midland Park resident who stated fraudulent charges were made on his debit card. He stated an unknown person(s) used his card and withdrew $300 from his account. The incident was referred to the Detective Bureau.
