Feeding local families for four generations
Abma's Farm Market & Garden Center in Wyckoff is a family owned and operated farm raising all-natural poultry and pork (hormone-free and antibiotic-free), and growing close to 100 different varieties of vegetables and fruits throughout the season.
The farm market — housed in an 18th Century Dutch barn — is open all year and stocked with fresh, homegrown produce in season, that is supplemented during the off season, and Abma's own fresh homegrown poultry , eggs and preservative-free frozen pork.
The market also sells prepared deli salads, sandwiches and meals prepared using fresh, local all-natural ingredients, and offers a wide selection of baked goods made from scratch without any trans-fats or high fructose corn syrup, all prepared on premises.
Just outside the market is a picnic area and free petting zoo. Pony rides are available on Saturdays during the spring, summer and fall, weather permitting. Fall hayrides are also offered on weekends or by appointment through the month of October.
The Garden Center is stocked through the spring, summer and fall, with premium annuals and perennials plants grown in their greenhouses, along with ornamental trees, shrubs and other plants brought in from other growers.
Throughout the year, the greenhouse hosts gardening workshops and seminars, including make-and-take-home classes on a wide variety of gardening projects including seasonal container gardens, fairy and miniature gardens, wreaths, centerpieces and more.
