Eye Disease Prevention Talk
Sponsored by Midland Park Lions Club
The Lions Eye Research Foundation (LERF-NJ) is a non-profit, volunteer run organization associated with Lions Club International, but is a separate and distinct organization dedicated to promoting eye health and research here in New Jersey. The foundation consists of 25 Trustees (All Lions Members) from the five districts in New Jersey, and the five district governors. Our primary purpose is to raise monies used to fund the Lions Eye Research Foundation. The Foundation uses these funds exclusively for eye disease treatment, research, and sight conservation. The Alfonse Cinotti Chair of Ophthalmology at the UMDNJ was funded by the Foundation to promote and stimulate eye research in the prevention of the occurrence of eye disease and defects. The Midland Park Lions Club is sponsoring a talk on ocular health by a representative from LERF at the Midland Park Memorial Library, 250 Godwin Ave, Midland Park, on Tuesday Feb. 25, 2014 at 7pm. This event is free of charge and open to the public. Please join us for an informative discussion on the prevention of eye disease.
